Starting a new school can be a daunting time, for both children and parents. It is important that your child feels confident and happy to come to school every day. Jamieson Primary School fosters a caring, inclusive and respectful culture, with the aim of easing your child into this new, and critical, chapter of their lives.
Jamieson Primary School accepts enrolments from Term 3 in the year prior to school entry. To start primary school your child will need to turn five years of age by 30 April of the year that they start school. Your child must be at school in the year that they turn six years of age – this is the compulsory school starting age.
Transition from Kinder
Jamieson Primary School runs a comprehensive transition program for Kindergarten students, consisting of individual visits to the school on Tuesdays during October and November. A similar program runs for Year 6 students transitioning to Secondary College.
Our Book Week, Science Week and Expo's are open to all visitors allowing prospective students and parents to come along and experience our wonderful school, the grounds, the setting, and the students and teachers. Tours can be conducted at any time throughout the year. Please feel free to contact our school and make an appointment with our Principal for a tour.
