Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Jamieson Primary School has been implementing the eLearning Plan and currently boasts a 1:1 ratio of students to computer equipment (ipads and laptops) with personal touchscreen laptops having been introduced in 2018. With its high student:computer ratio, the school has been able to integrate computer technology into the daily activities of the children. Two Interactive Whiteboards, a scanner, iPads, a digital video camera, and Webex video conferencing equipment allow the children to experiment with the latest in digital technology.
Our children's world revolves around digital learning and it is our responsibility to teach them adaptive and transferable skills in a safe and responsible learning environment.
Jamieson Primary School is an eSmart School. eSmart is a long-term change program designed to educate, track, monitor and prevent bullying and cyber bullying. eSmart Schools is tailor-made for schools and designed to effect change in that specific environment. eSmart provides schools with management tools to deal with bullying and cyber issues and incidents so that students feel safer and more supported at school.
