Meet your school councillors
Every primary school is responsible, through its own School council, for the school curriculum policy, initiating changes or decisions affecting the running of the school, overseeing finances, care and maintenance of buildings and grounds, and fundraising. Council meets every month at the school.
The School council is made up of the school Principal, 3 parent non DET employed representatives, 1 DET employed representative and 1 co-opted representative (when available).
The school council will liase with parents and community on what is happening within the school.
Council elections are held in March each year and all parents are eligible to stand for election and to vote.
